I am a member of the "Asociacion Acupuntores Sanitarios" AAS, an organization for professional and recognized acupuncture specialists in Spain. I am also a registered member of the professional acupuncture association, NVTCG Zhong. All the treatments at my clinic are covered by most of the Dutch health insurances, as long as your health insurance deal covers the treatment.

As for Spanish insurance, acupuncture is only covered by a select number of private health insurances, Spanish public health insurance does not cover alternative treatments.

An acupuncture treatment consists of the use of thin, small acupuncture needles combined with an additional treatment method such as acupressure techniques, moxibustion / TDP lamp / electro acupuncture / ear acupuncture / cupping / nutritional advice.
